Prof. Dr. C LAKSHMINARAYANA is Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with over 18 years of experience in B.M.S. College of Engineering and Equity Action Plan Nodal officer (TEQIP), BMS College of Engineering. He has an extensive experience in designing curriculum, developing education pedagogy and managing industry- institute interaction.

He has headed the department during 2016-2019. He has been involved with research in Power System Engineering. He has produced 4 Ph.D Scholars and guiding 6 Ph.D. students and directed 22 Master’s students and many undergraduate students. He has more than 35 research publications to his credit and has received BEST PAPER AWARD: “VLC FOR UNDERWATER OPERATIONS” Third International Conference on Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Computer Technologies and Optimization Techniques (ICEECCOT-2018) & has Filed PATENTS for “APPARATUS OF ETCHED COPPER CLAD COOKTOP” on January 31, 2019

He has completed several research projects, including a DRDO-funded project on wireless energy harvesting and TEQIP-sponsored projects on wind turbine-based energy harvesting control systems and solar PV wind hybrid with DC microgrids. He has also served as an evaluator/advisor for several committees and is a senior member of the IEEE and a life member of ISTE. He received grants from AICTE and an award of excellence in higher education from the Centre for Leadership Development, Venus International Foundation, Chennai on 2nd Nov 2019. . He is skilled at working individually and in teams, handling multiple tasks, and managing time efficiently.
